Sydney Mays

Sydney Mays, from Sarasota, FL, has been training in a variety of dance genres since the age of five. She will graduate from Florida Southern College in Spring 2026 with a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography. Sydney is thrilled to continue pursuing her passion beyond graduation and is eager to work toward her goal of joining a contemporary or modern dance company. During her time at Florida Southern, Sydney has had many performance opportunities. Most recently, she performed as the Lilac Fairy in The Sleeping Beauty in FSC| Dances “TEN: Past, Present, Pulse”, as well as in two additional works by Catherine Inzirillo and Earl Mosley. Over the past two years, she has also been presented with professional performance opportunities, including The Butterfly Effect Showcase at the Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts and Movement Stories, a contemporary triple bill at Players by the Sea. Throughout her four years, Sydney has performed at the American College Dance Association and in additional works within the FSC| Dance Department by Autumn Eckman, Jackie Nowicki, Theresa Jimmerson, Carolyn Dorfman, John Lehrer, and many more.
